| Our Sunday School begins at 9:45 A.M. We have classes for all ages:
nursery class for infants and toddlers, Kindergarten for 4 and 5 year olds,
children's classes (1st & 2nd graders, 3rd-5th graders,
6th-8th graders), a senior high class and four adult groups, each unique in
teaching styles. |

| Vacation Bible School is scheduled during the summer months. The curriculum includes Bible study,
music, crafts, recreation and snacks. Everyone has fun during this event; children and volunteers. |

| Middle School/Jr High Youth Group meets twice a month. The first meeting is for a program that includes
a lesson, activities and a meal. The second meeting include service projects, recreation, parties and field trips.
Through these activities, they develop a feeling of community with their "church friends". |

| Skits are presented at Easter, Rally Day and Christmas. This provides children and adults an opportunity to
help present a Biblical message through drama. |

| The Christian Education Department sponsors the Summer Splash at the end of the school year. This picnic
allows a chance for families to meet for fun, food and fellowship along the banks of the Chowan River in North Carolina. |

| Family Night Suppers are held on Saturday nights allowing another opportunity for "church family" to
gather and share their favorite dish. Special programs or speakers may also be part of this event. |

| We support and promote the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia Camp and Conference Center, Makemie Woods, in Barhamsville, Virginia, for Youth
retreats, family camps and quality summer camping experiences. |
